Lynn Hilditch joined the Women’s Royal Air Force (WRAF) as an air traffic controller and served at various locations in the UK and Cyprus, with a break due to marriage.
Lynn Hilditch joined the Women’s Royal Air Force (WRAF) and trained as an air traffic controller. She served at RAF Wittering at the time of the Harrier’s introduction to RAF service and at RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus. She left the service on marriage, but rejoined eleven years later, serving at RAF Benson, Colerne, Brize Norton and Lyneham. She remembers changing attitudes and policy relating to women in the armed forces.
