Malcolm Brecht flew HS125, HS146 and Tristar aircraft on transport operations. He went on to be the first commanding officer of 99 Squadron as it reformed with C-17 transport aircraft.
Malcolm Brecht flew HS125 and HS146 aircraft with 32 Squadron and Tristar aircraft with 216 Squadron in a range of transport operations. He was then appointed to command 99 Squadron, reforming with C-17 transport aircraft. He describes training in the US and the various roles and capabilities of the C-17. He went on to command Basra airbase in Iraq, RAF Brize Norton in the UK and Kandahar airbase in Afghanistan.
