Avro Lincoln Mk II

This aircraft was built at Baginton, Conventry, at the end of the Second World War. It served with the Bomber Command Bombing School until September 1960. It then carried out electronic warfare and countermeasures trials and training with the Central Signals Establishment until March 1963 – and was one of the last Lincolns to be operated by the RAF.

Hawker-Siddeley Vulcan B.2 XL318

The Vulcan was the second of the Royal Air Force’s ‘V bombers’ and like the Valiant and Victor provided part of Great Britain’s nuclear deterrent force for 15 years until the Royal Navy’s Polaris submarines took over the the deterrence role in 1969.

Armstrong Whitworth Argosy C.1

The Argosy was a medium range transport, paratroop and supply aircraft. Powered by four Rolls-Royce Dart turbojet engines, and with a distinctive twin boom tailplane design, it became known as the “Whistling Wheelbarrow” in RAF service.
