Kevin Bazeley served as a navigator in VC10 transport aircraft and in Nimrod maritime patrol aircraft, before being discharged from the RAF when his superiors discovered that he was gay.
Kevin Bazeley was a navigator in VC10 transport aircraft with 10 Squadron and in Nimrod maritime patrol aircraft with 201 Squadron. He explains how he realised that he was gay, how he had to keep this secret at work and how, when his sexuality was discovered, he was interviewed by the RAF Police and discharged from the RAF. He outlines his subsequent civilian career, including work with LGBT support groups.
