1932 Hendon Air Display
Footage of the 1932 RAF Display, held at RAF Hendon, includes simulated aerial combat, parachuting, aerobatics, the destruction of a large observation balloon and Westland Wapiti aircraft on the ground.
Film of the 1932 RAF display at RAF Hendon shows twin-engined bomber aircraft trailing smoke to simulate battle damage as fighter aircraft circle. Vickers Virginia bomber aircraft take off and drop parachutists, aircraft perform formation aerobatics while trailing smoke, a Handley Page Gugnunc, a Cierva autogyro and a Westland Pterodactyl pass overhead, a large balloon is destroyed and Westland Wapiti aircraft taxi. A family is then seen in a garden.
